TV Time import
Move your TV Time list in one sitting.
TV Time already lets you download your data. TV Track reads that zip: episodes, movies, watchlist, ratings, comments, then a short review for anything that did not match.

01:08 What comes across
The GDPR file is the source of truth

- Watched movies
- Watchlist and followed shows
- Ratings
- Public comments
- Episode opinions (Wow / Good / Meh)
- Favourite characters per episode
- Rewatches
02:30 Process
Five steps, one zip
The TV Time portal can take a while to prepare the file. Once you have it, the TV Track side is a single upload.
01:00
Request the GDPR export
Open the TV Time self-service portal, sign in, and ask for a copy of your data. Wait until they tell you the download is ready — that part is on their side.
02:00
Download, then unzip if needed
Save the archive on your computer. If the zip is password-protected, extract it first. TV Track accepts the zip or the extracted folder.
03:00
Create a free TV Track account
Register with email or Google. The import lives in your dashboard; you need a signed-in profile so the history is yours.
04:00
Drop the zip or the folder
Choose the archive or the extracted GDPR folder. TV Track keeps the tracking CSVs and ignores the rest. You pick what to bring: episodes, movies, ratings, watchlist, comments.
05:00
Merge titles that did not match
Most shows resolve automatically. Anything left over stays in a review list: search TMDB, attach it, and the leftover comments or ratings follow.
04:15 Questions
The import, without the guesswork
If the zip looks intimidating, these are the usual blockers.
What exactly is imported from TV Time?
Watched episodes and movies, watchlist, ratings, comments, episode opinions, favourite characters and rewatches. You choose the categories before the job runs.
The zip is password-protected. What do I do?
Extract it on your computer first, then upload the folder — or re-zip the extracted files without a password. TV Track cannot unlock a TV Time password for you.
Some shows were not recognised. Are they lost?
No. Unmatched titles stay in a review list after the import. Search TMDB, attach the right show or movie, and leftover ratings or comments move with it.
Do I need Premium to import TV Time?
No. The GDPR import is included on the free Standard plan.
How long does the TV Time export take?
TV Time prepares the file on their side; it can take from minutes to a couple of days. Once you have the zip, uploading it to TV Track usually takes a few minutes.
